Ionian Islands

Ionian Islands

Day 1: Corfu - Paxos - Antipaxos

Day 1: Corfu - Paxos - Antipaxos

One of the least commercial Greek Islands in the Ionian sea, Paxos (or Paxi) is truly beautiful, with scenery that makes it an artists paradise, with clear aquamarine sea and pebble beaches that have to be seen to be believed. The local people are so welcoming you feel at home straight away! This island has such a hold over people that I guarantee you will meet more fellow holidaymakers that have been returning for years than first-time visitors.

Day 2: Antipaxos - Lefkas

Antipaxos island, also called Antipaxi, is the smallest of the Ionian Islands and belongs to the municipality of Paxi. According to Greek legends, Paxi and all the tiny islands around it were created when Neptune, the sea god, nipped with his trident, a tiny piece from Corfu in order to create a snug cosy place for himself and his consort Amfitryti.

Lefkas, aka Lefkada, is a beautiful green island on the West coast of Greece. Peaceful, unspoilt, with beautiful beaches.

Day 2: Antipaxos - Lefkas
Day 3: Lefkas - Meganisi

Day 3: Lefkas - Meganisi

Untouched by international tourists, Meganisi is one of those Greek islands that boasts an unspoiled beauty, so it is perfect for relaxing holidays! Vathy, where the port of Meganisi also lies, is the most picturesque village of the island. Stroll around the beach promenade in Vathy, taste the local delicacies at one of the many fish taverns. Adapt yourself to the slow rhythm of the island!

Day 4: Meganisi - Ithaki

Every bit as rugged, romantic and epic as its role in Homeric legend would suggest, Ithaki is something special. The hilly, sea-girt homeland to which Odysseus struggled to return for 10 heroic years continues to charm and seduce travellers with its ancient ruins, breathtaking harbour villages and wilderness walks. Squeezed between Kefallonia and the mainland, it’s the kind of island where time seems to slow down and cares slip away.

Day 4: Meganisi - Ithaki
Day 5: Ithaki - Preveza

Day 5: Ithaki - Preveza

Preveza is an area blessed with beautiful landscapes, green areas, great beaches, a rich history, ancient sites and monuments. Stroll along the harbour and the old town and see the beautiful traditional buildings; walk on the seaside pedestrian street and enjoy the island-like atmosphere; taste local dishes in a picturesque taverna or coffee shop which line the narrow slab-paved backstreets.

Day 6: Preveza - Syvota

Βlue and green, representative of Thesprotia's Prefecture, is the main reason why Syvota is considered as one of the most exotic destinations within Greece; lacy shores, luscious green islets, long sheltered beaches with crystal clear waters and secret coves, are just some of the settlement’s characteristics that nature has open handedly offered. It is the perfect stop for sailors of the Ionian archipelago, nevertheless, it is a must destination for all.

Day 6: Preveza - Syvota
Day 7: Syvota - Corfu

Day 7: Syvota - Corfu

Corfu Greece is one of the most beautiful and romantic islands of the Ionian island group. From lush green hills to noble mansions and from idyllic Corfu beaches, to interesting museums, this island has everything it takes to please any type of traveller. Corfu is strongly influenced by the Venetians, the French and the English and for this reason has a cosmopolitan, multicultural charm.
